School Voucher Plan Moves at Pennsylvania Capitol

There’s more talk about school vouchers at the Pennsylvania Capitol. The Senate Education Committee revived the plan that would spend 100 million-dollars to pay for private school tuition for students living in the bottom 15 percent of Pennsylvania’s school districts. Philadelphia Democrat Tony Williams joined Republicans to move the plan forward. But other Democrats, particularly in the House, continue to oppose vouchers. It’s not clear if the House will move the plan any further, this spring.
