
There have been water attacks in Pennsylvania and Texas, and the E-P-A is telling water utilities across the country that they’re at major risk for cyber-attacks that could compromise water safety. The Environmental Protection Agency used the word “alarming” in a news release earlier this week, to describe how vulnerable many water utilities are because of poor cyber security. The agency noted security-related violations of the Safe Drinking Water Act, included shared logins and still allowing access to former employees.
