Two Somerset County individuals have been arrested after a domestic incident, involving gunfire,  that occurred along Route 30 in Reels Corner. Arrested were 39 year old Allen Hitechew II, and 40 year old Melissa Monaghan. Police were called to their home because the two were fighting and a 2 year old was involved. When state police arrived they learned Monaghan allegedly fired several shots at  Hitechew, while she was inside a vehicle, with the 2 year old in the front seat. When authorities entered their home, court documents note, it was found to be in “extreme deplorable condition” which would have “endangered the welfare of the child.” Both face charges of felony child endangerment, and Monaghan faces additional charges of aggravated assault and making terroristic threats.  Both are currently in the Somerset County Prison after being unable to post bail. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for June 3rd.
