JUNE 2 – Visiting the Mailboxes: After several weeks of guests and specials, it’s time to check the ‘Homegrown Rocker” mailboxes and explore new local and regional recordings that have arrived in recent days and weeks!
JUNE 9 – John Peacefire: Altoona-based singer and songwriter John Peacefire is releasing a new album, “Checks and Balances in an Underground Tunnel,” later in the month. John will join us in the studio to discuss the album and its music, as well as his upcoming album-release show and other live performances!
JUNE 16 – Father’s Day Special 2024: We keep with “Homegrown Rocker” tradition for Father’s Day by presenting the annual Father’s Day Special! We’ll salute area music scene dads, as well as music scene family traditions. We’ll hear music not just from area dads, but moms, sons and daughters as well, and in a few cases hear two or more generations of the same family on the same songs!
JUNE 23 – Visiting the Mailboxes: We’ll continue our exploration of more new recordings that have arrived in the program’s mailboxes in recent days and weeks!
JUNE 30 – Radio 45: Making their return as guests on the “Homegrown Rocker” will be Pittsburgh area performers Radio 45! We’ll discuss the group’s latest happenings, including their expansion into tribute band territory with their new projects Petty 45 and U2 45! We’ll hear new songs from the group, plus preview their upcoming live performances in the “Homegrown Rocker” listening area!
