Two Cresson residents are behind bars this morning following a drug bust at a Cresson Borough apartment complex. Arrested were 48 year old Derek Herdman and 37 year old Melissa Ray. On Tuesday, Cresson Borough Police, along with the Cambria County Drug Task Force, executed a search warrant at the Keystone Avenue Apartments following an investigation into suspected drug activity. The search led to the seizure of numerous drugs including meth and heroine, weapons, including two swords and a compound bow. Herdman is facing charges of possession with intent to deliver, among other related offenses. He is currently in the Cambria County Prison in lieu of $300,000 bail. Ray was taken into custody on a probation violation. The investigation remains active.
