A former Cambria County woman who now resides in Colorado is behind bars after allegedly threatening a local magistrate, as well as her former employer. According to Jackson Township Police, in Cambria County, an investigation into the threats began in March after learning 46 year old Sarah Byrne had been repeatedly harassing staff members at the office of Magisterial District Judge Mary Ann Zanghi.  Authorities say after Byrne moved to Colorado, she continued to call the office and harass staff members, with the phone calls becoming more threatening over time. Reportedly the calls began after Byrne learned that a hearing date at the judge’s office had been rescheduled due to a staffing issue. Police say Byrne reportedly made over 1,200 calls from March 13th to April 13th.  Byrne is facing numerous charges including retaliation against a judicial official, and making terroristic threats.  Byrne is also accused of making threatening calls to a former employer,  Froelich’s Packing Company in Lower Yoder Township. Court records indicate Byrne was arraigned to the Cambria County Prison last Friday and bail was denied.
