There are some new options to get information about Pennsylvania’s roads and turnpikes. The state’s Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission on Friday said they’ve updated the 511PA system to now include a new website, an app, and a new phone system. The new updates will send drivers alerts about road congestion and accidents. There’s also a new section that suggests alternative routes when there are crashes or congestion. You can sign-up for the new offerings by downloading the 511PA app.
