An Altoona man is in jail today after he led police on a high-speed chase, early Sunday morning, driving a motorcycle while under the influence. Arrested was 34 year old Darik McGarvey who led police on a high speed chase thru-out the city before they found his motorcycle in an alley behind the 2000 block of Beale Avenue. McGarvey, who was driving with a suspended license, has been charged with felony fleeing or attempting to elude an officer, several counts of DUI, recklessly endangering, and other related offenses. He is currently in the Blair County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bond. His preliminary hearing is slated for June 12th.
