The Blair County Commissioners have voted to contract with a local real estate broker to work on identifying a potential site for a new county prison. The commissioners voted to sign a contract with Richard Johnston. Reportedly, the contract will allow Johnston to approach landowners about the county’s interest in a particular property. The commissioners have not identified any properties of interest, however they have reportedly looked at six.
