State Police say a fire marshal has been called in to investigate the cause of a fire that damaged numerous properties in Curwensville and left three firefighters injured on Saturday afternoon. Authorities say a garage was destroyed, and another garage, along with two homes were damaged. Reportedly, two firefighters became trapped inside the destroyed garage after the roof collapsed. They, and another firefighter were treated for minor injuries. Damage is estimated at nearly $100,000.
