An Altoona woman has been charged with arson after she allegedly set fire to her 7th Avenue home on Monday. 42 year old Tyesha Rivers was arraigned on Monday night and charged with reckless burning, arson and risking catastrophe. Firefighters were called to her home late Monday morning after several witnesses reported seeing items on fire on her front porch. Police say one witness allegedly saw Rivers throw numerous items into the fire. Investigators say the home suffered significant damage to its siding. Authorities say when Rivers was taken into custody she was found in possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia. Rivers is currently in the Blair County Prison in lieu of $100,000 bail.
