One of Pennsylvania’s newest laws looks to expand welfare in the state. Governor Shapiro has signed a new law that creates a WIC Advisory Council. State Rep. Johanny Cepeda-Freytiz says there’s a need to get more people signed-up for benefits in Pennsylvania. She says enrollment in WIC, which is for moms and babies, has fallen recently. Cepeda-Freytiz is not saying just how many people she hopes to add to the public benefit rolls in the Commonwealth.
