The Pennsylvania Game Commission announced yesterday that three Chronic Wasting Disease Management Areas have been expanded due to new detections of the disease. State wildlife officials said that Disease Management Areas 2,3 and 8 have been expanded. DMA 2 includes portions of  Blair, Cambria, Bedford, Centre, Clearfield, Huntingdon, Somerset and Indiana Counties, among others.   Officials say the expansion comes after a road killed fawn discovered in Armstrong County was found to have the chronic wasting disease. Wildlife officials are reminding hunters that within these infected areas it is illegal to remove or export any deer or elk high-risk body parts, unless going to a Game Commission approved cooperating processor. For more information on the rules regarding this expansion, visit the Pennsylvania Game Commission website.
