Charges have been filed in a Cresson shooting that occurred around midnight on Sunday. Authorities say charges, including criminal homicide, have been filed against 46 year old Douglas Leap, related to the shooting and killing of 31 year old Ambrose Bowers of Altoona. Bowers body was found lying on Front Street near Keystone Avenue in Cresson Borough. Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees said Bowers died of massive blood loss from multiple gunshot wounds. Leap is currently awaiting arraignment. An investigation is underway.
