A Huntingdon woman was seriously injured on Tuesday night after being assaulted by a Georgia man. Arrested by state police was 18 tear old Julian Briones who is accused of striking the woman multiple times in the face. The woman was taken to UPMC Altoona via helicopter for possible head injuries and facial fractures. Briones has been charged with felony aggravated assault and other related offenses. He is currently in the Huntingdon County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.
