The Central Pennsylvania Humane Society has taken in 14 dogs from what has been described as a large breeding operation in the state. The humane society took in those dogs, with visible medical issues, hair loss and sores. Reportedly many of the dogs are not ready for adoption and need to learn socialization and receive medical care. The humane society is asking for monetary donations to help care for the animals. They are also in need of blankets, sheets, towels and Purina dog food. The CPHS is located at 1837 Pleasant Valley Boulevard in Altoona.
