A Bedford County man has been charged with attempted homicide for allegedly attacking his step-brother with a knife inside a Dollar General store in Breezeweed. State police say 42 year old Joseph Batenga Sr is also facing charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon following the incident that occurred on Sunday afternoon. Reportedly Batenga assaulted his step-brother with a knife and then fled the scene. Batenga was later arrested, and is being held in the Bedford County Prison after being unable to post bail.
