Four Johnstown residents are accused of beating a woman and her children over a period of 18 months. Police say three of the accused, Charlie and Nellie Crouse, and Jeffrey Blystone were already arrested. A warrant for a fourth person, Anthony Mariani was issued and authorities are looking for him. Reportedly the victim said she endured brutal beatings at the hands of the four, along with her children ages 7-11. The victim told authorities the beatings began while living on Jacoby and Sell Streets in Johnstown. The beatings came to light after the woman signed herself into the Clarion Psychological Hospital last December due to the alleged abuse. Charles and Nellie Crouse, along with Jeffrey Blystone are in the Cambria County Prison with bail set at $500,000. All four are facing charges of aggravated assault with attempts to cause serious bodily injury, endangering the welfare of children and other related offenses.
