A Pennsylvania man is locked up after police say he terrorized people in Luzerne County with a machete. State police responded around 1 a.m. yesterday to North Church Street in Hazel Township, where they saw a woman standing in the road, waving her hands and crying. The woman told officers that her son and daughter were being chased by a male wearing a mask and swinging a machete. A juvenile male ran to the troopers, saying he was slashed by a man wearing a mask. Police later found 37 year old Anthony Brotzman, of Old Forge, in a nearby alley. They say Brotzman had a mask in his left hand and a machete in his right. He was taken into custody. Brotzman is charged with aggravated assault, terroristic threats, and other related counts. He has been placed in the Luzerne County Prison.
