Remains, believed to be that of a male, were reportedly found in a crawl space in a Johnstown home, early Saturday morning. Cambria County Coroner Jeff Lees said police were called to the home for a welfare check on the 100 block of Adams Street. When authorities arrived, they noticed a large number of flies on the windows and a foul smell coming from the home. Once inside, a body, wrapped in tarp, was found in the rafters of a third floor crawl space. It’s believed the body had been there for up to 6 months. Lees said a male from that address was reported missing last December. The coroner’s office is ruling the death “highly suspicious.” An investigation is underway.
