An Altoona man involved in a deadly DUI crash in March was sentenced yesterday to serve 2-and-a-half to 5 years behind bars. 43 year old William Tremmel pled guilty to aggravated assault by vehicle while DUI for the March crash that resulted in the death of his passenger, Jerry Berryman. Berryman died from blunt force trauma when Tremmel crashed a GMC Acadia into a concrete barrier on the 2500 block of Broad Avenue Alley on March 16th. Berryman died two days later at UPMC Presbyterian in Pittsburgh.
