Standoff Suspect Pleads Guilty in Blair County Court

An Altoona man who barricaded himself inside a Greenwood area home, that resulted in an 8 hour standoff, pled guilty yesterday, in Blair County Court. 28 year old Tershar Miller was sentenced to 2-8 years in exchange for guilty pleas to felony counts of aggravated assault, terroristic threats and burglary. Miller, who reportedly was emotionally distressed and suicidal, was arrested in March after Logan Township Police took him into custody.  It was also determined when Miller becomes eligible for release, he should participate in programs addressing drug and alcohol, mental health and anger management issues.  During the standoff, Miller threatened to shoot any police officer who approached the home, located on Rosehill Drive.
