A Clearfield County mother is facing charges this morning after she allegedly used a taser on three young children as a form of punishment. Arrested was 49 year old Betty Jo Cyphert of DuBois. Police reportedly were called to her home in April to assist Children and Youth Services in removing the three children from the home, after they received reports of alleged child abuse involving a taser. There are reports that one of the children told authorities that Cyphert repeatedly tased the children as a form of discipline. Cyphert was arraigned on Monday on charges of child endangerment, reckless endangerment and simple assault. She has since been released on unsecured bail.
