Hot temps are rolling back into the area today and tomorrow, and this morning the National Weather Service issued a heat advisory for the south-central portion of the state. That includes, Huntingdon, Fulton, Montour, Colombia, Northumberland, Union, Snyder and Southern Lycoming Counties. The weather service says the heat index values of 100-104 degrees are expected in those counties. The weather service reminds people to stay hydrated, avoid sun exposure, never leave children or pets in a vehicle alone, take precautions if you are working outside, and wear light-weight and loose fitting clothing. The heat advisory runs from noon today until 8 p.m. tomorrow.
