The FAA has released its preliminary report regarding a plane crash near Lock Haven last week, resulting in the death of the 17 year old pilot. Authorities are calling the crash “accidental” and caused by unknown circumstances. Investigators note in their report, the crash was followed by a fire. The Cessna 172 was being piloted by a 17 year old girl who took off from the Williamsport Regional Airport with its destination listed as Lock Haven. The accident happened on July 4th. The girl’s identity has not been released.
