COVID cases are on the rise across Pennsylvania. That’s according to the latest data released by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This comes as 39 states are seeing a rise in COVID cases due to a new variant which people are writing off as just allergies. The so-called FLiRT variants are presenting themselves through symptoms such as a sore throat, congestion, exhaustion, diarrhea and cough. While cases are up, the CDC says that due to a high number of vaccinations in Pennsylvania, the state is still seeing a relatively low number of hospitalizations and COVID related deaths.
