Marc Fogel’s mother says she is requesting a meeting with Donald Trump in an effort to get her son back home. Malphine Fogel says she had no success trying to get assistance from President Biden to have Marc released from a Russian prison, so she wants to ask the former president and Republican nominee if he can help. Fogel has been in custody since August of 2021 after he was found with 17 grams of medical marijuana while travelling to Russia for a teaching job. Last month, the U.S. Senate unanimously passed a resolution calling for Marc’s release, but there does not seem to be any movement in the state department. Malphine says she wants the chance to speak with Trump this weekend while he is in the area for a campaign rally at the Butler Farm Show grounds.
