Centre County Man Convicted on Numerous Offenses in Jan. 6th Riot

A Centre County man has been convicted for assaulting officers during the January 6th riot at the U.S. Capitol in 2021. 65 year old Terry Allen of Spring Mills was found guilty of assaulting, resisting or impeding officers with a deadly or dangerous weapon, entering a restricted building, and engaging in physical violence, among others. According to a press release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office of the District of Columbia, Allen was among a number of individuals who breached the western perimeter of the U.S. Capitol grounds. Video evidence reportedly showed Allen shoving and physically assaulting police officers on the West Plaza using a wooden flagpole as a lance. Allen is scheduled to be sentenced on November 14th.
