A Cambria County man, known as a career drug dealer, could spend up to 30 years in prison for his role in the fatal overdose of a 5-year-old girl. According to the state attorney general’s office, 36 year old Albert Spicer was sentenced earlier this week to serve 13-30 years in prison for the death of Alaia Young. Young was found dead inside her Johnstown home in October of 2022. Her mother, Volaura Askew was charged, and pled guilty earlier this year. Officials say Spicer pled guilty to trafficking and supplying fentanyl, which resulted in the child’s death.
