An Altoona man, arrested three years ago for stockpiling guns and ammo, pled guilty on Friday for a sentence of 5-20 years.  45 year old Vaughn Ackerman reportedly stockpiled the weapons for what he thought would be an impending terrorist attack.  At the time of his arrest, a relative told authorities that she was concerned about Ackerman’s deteriorating mental state, due to his methamphetamine use.  Ackerman has been in the Blair County Prison since his arrest, and will be transferred to a state prison to finish out his sentence.
