Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro is backing President Biden after he announced he won’t be seeking another term in office. Governor Shapiro called Biden a “patriot” and said he’s done a lot to help the country during his time as President. Shapiro also said he is backing Vice President Kamala Harris to replace Biden on the Democratic ticket. Soon after Biden announced he is ending his re-election campaign, Shapiro said Harris is a patriot, worthy of the party’s support, and nominating her is the best path forward for Democrats. Shapiro is one of the people in the conversation as possible VP pick for Harris. In the meantime, Senator Bob Casey, of Pennsylvania said Harris is prepared to be commander-in-chief, and said she is the best person to “meet this moment.”
