Bipartisan House Committee To Investigate Trump Shooting

The U.S. House of Representatives is setting up a bipartisan task force to investigate the Trump assassination attempt in Butler, Pa.  House Speaker Mike Johnson and Democratic leader Hakeem Jeffries said  the task force will be made up of seven Republicans and six Democrats and will have subpoena authority.  In a joint statement, Johnson and Jeffries said the task force “will move quickly to find the facts, ensure accountability, and make certain such failures never happen again.”  The resolution to establish the task force was approved unanimously Wednesday by all House members.
