North Carolina’s governor is out as a potential running mate for Kamala Harris. Roy Cooper stated on X last night that it wasn’t the right time for North Carolina or for him to potentially be on a national ticket. He was seen as one of the top contenders for the role, along with Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro, Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer, and Arizona Senator Mark Kelly.
