A 12 year old boy was killed Monday afternoon in Somerset County, in an accident that involved a small dirt bike, and a front-end loader. State police say the unidentified boy was traveling east along the 200 block of Augustine Road in Milford Township shortly before 1 p.m. Authorities say his dirt bike collided with a John Deere high-lift loader. The juvenile was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are not releasing the boy’s name, only saying he was from Somerset. Reportedly, the boy was traveling on the wrong side of the road, and was not wearing his helmet properly.
