Pennsylvanians will soon be able to file their taxes directly with the IRS thanks to a new partnership with the U.S. Treasury. The program is called IRS Direct File and it will allow for residents to file their federal taxes for free through an IRS online portal. The state plans to open the system to residents in time for the 2025 tax filing season.
