It is unclear if Governor Andy Beshear is still in talks with the Harris team after the democratic presidential nominee scheduled interviews with three candidates to be her running mate on Sunday. The Vice President met with Senator Mark Kelly of Arizona, and Governors Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania and Tim Walz of Minnesota. Governor Beshear, and Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg were not among the meetings. In the meantime, with his 61% approval rating and Pennsylvania’s 19 electoral college voters, reports this morning indicate that all signs are pointing towards Shapiro as Harris’ VP pick. Harris is expected to announce her VP pick tomorrow, during a campaign event in Philadelphia.
