An investigation is underway after a man was severely injured in an assault that occurred in the Blair County prison on Friday morning. The injured male was taken to UPMC in Altoona and reported to have broken bones to the face. According to reports, Blair County’s D.A. said the man was arrested on Thursday, on a cost and fines warrant, but is questioning why he was moved from Central Booking to the prison. The D.A.’s office along with the Hollidaysburg Borough Police are conducting the investigation.
