4-year-old Boy Drowns in Neighbor’s Pool in Altoona

A four year old boy drowned after falling into a neighbor’s pool in Altoona, on Monday evening.  The drowning was called in just before 9 p.m. in the 2100 block of 21^st Street.  Reportedly, neighbors pulled the boy from the pool after he managed to bypass a locking mechanism at the residence.  The boy was taken to UPMC Altoona where he was pronounced dead at the scene.  Logan Township Police are investigating.
