A Somerset County park is now the home to the first Gold Star memorial marker in the Commonwealth. The marker, honoring the families of those who lost their lives while serving in the U.S. military, was unveiled Monday at Patriot Park — not far from the Flight 93 National Memorial. A number of Gold Star families were in attendance for the unveiling and dedication.
