Our latest “Local Song of the Week” is the first single from the forthcoming fourth album by Williamsport’s The Jeremy Edge Project, expected out before year’s end. The song, “The Black Sheep,” finds Jeremy and his Project – bassist John DeLowery, drummer Ray Gieda and guest harmonica man Byron Winchester – digging deeper into traditional blues roots with nods to blues greats like Elmore James, Howlin Wolf, and Muddy Waters as well as a touch of George Thorogood and Ry Cooder. The video for the song features Jeremy and his gang portraying bootlegging gangsters in Prohibition-era America, as they are about to be double-crossed by a rival mob played by members of Williamsport roots rockers Cass and the Bailout Crew. Watch for The Jeremy Edge Project as they perform shows around the state, including periodic visits to Altoona’s 4D’s Lounge!
