Two Clearfield County men are facing charges connected to a targeted bombing in 2019 that was related to a drug debt.   According to the Department of Justice, 47-year-old Clint Addleman and 47-year-old Kris Nevling were indicted by a federal grand jury yesterday on charges related to conspiracy to maliciously destroy property by explosive fire, and possession of an unregistered destructive device.  Authorities say Addleman was a meth dealer working in the Clearfield area.  In the fall of 2019, Addleman allegedly fronted several hundred dollars’ worth of meth to 34-year-old Shanna Carlson.  After failing to repay him, Addleman allegedly began to threaten her.  In October of 2019, Addleman and Nevling made a bomb that was delivered to Carlson’s apartment.  The bomb detonated, killing Carlson and destroying the building.  The two men may face life in prison in connection with the charges.  Addleman is currently in prison on unrelated charges, while Nevling remains detained on other charges connected to the bombing.
