An Altoona woman has been arrested for impersonating a police officer at Sheetz on 7th Avenue last Friday moring. The woman reportedly told employees at Sheetz she was working for the Altoona Police Department but was arrested when police arrived at the scene. She’s been identified as 41-year-old Samantha Winter. Reportedly, Winter attempted to purchase a few items and have those items placed on the APD tab. When she was informed there was no APD tab, she grabbed the items without paying, and sat at a table inside the store. Winter reportedly began using force and resisting being put in a cell, once she was apprehended. She has been charged with felony aggravated assault, impersonating a public servant, and resisting arrest. She is in the Blair County Prison in lieu of $20,000 bail.
