Construction is officially underway on the much anticipated final stretch of the Ghost Town Trail that runs thru Cambria and Indiana Counties. Completion will make it the only continuous loop-rail trail in the country, other than one of Oregon. The groundbreaking was held yesterday to begin phase one of the project which includes building seven tenths of a mile of trail putting a pedestrian box culvert on Church Street. Phase one is to cost a little under 800 thousand dollars. Phase two of the project involves building three bridges over roads that cross the trail loop. It is hoped the project will be complete in about a year.
