A former psychologist from State College appeared in Centre County Court yesterday for the start of his trial. 62-year-old Richard Lenhart was accused of sexually assaulting a child beginning in 2006, when the child was less than 8 years of age. Investigators say the abuse was not reported until 2019, after Lenhart had already been sentenced in a separate sexual assault case. Lenhart continues to deny the allegations. Lenhart was sentenced to serve time in prison in 2016 after he pled no contest to assaulting two former patients.
