A Bedford County man has been arrested after he was accused of sexually assaulting a woman during a domestic dispute over the weekend. He’s been identified as 31-year-old William Beatty Jr., of Defiance who allegedly assaulted the woman at his home. Authorities’ say an argument began between the two, at which point Beatty allegedly choked the woman to the point where she almost passed out. According to the victim he then began to remove her clothing and perform sexual acts on her while she repeatedly told him no. Beatty was arraigned on Monday on charges of rape, forcible compulsion and other related counts. He is currently in the Bedford County prison in lieu of $500,000 bail.
