New research suggests Ozempic is not linked to increased rates of depression or suicide. Researchers at the University of Pennsylvania studied data from over three-thousand people who used the popular diabetes and weight loss drug found in Ozempic and also Wegovy and who did not have a major mental health condition. The study found less than one percent reported suicidal thoughts or behavior during their treatment. The study was funded by Novo Nordisk, the company that makes Ozempic.
