wrta-logo-sm

A Johnstown boy is on the mend after being hit by a deer that was sprinting outside his school.  The “freak accident” was caught on surveillance video at the Johnstown Elementary School.  The video shows a fawn colliding with the boy, while he  was walking outside on the sidewalk.  Six-year-old Michael Drennon was heading to recess when the deer ran at him, knocking him down, leaving him with a black eye.  Somehow the video of the incident was released, and had gone viral after it was posted on TikTok.  The school district says it’s investigating who released the video, stating this was not a permitted action.  As for Michael, his family reportedly notes, he’s on the mend.
