VA Medical Center in Altoona Holds First 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony

Veterans, first responders  and staff at the James E. Van Zandt Medical Center in Altoona, gathered yesterday to honor the victims of 9-11.  Featured during the ceremony was the reading of the presidential proclamation which was enacted in 2001 that designates September 11^th as Patriot Day.  Yesterday’s keynote speaker was VA Medical Center Chaplin Carl Phillips, who was at the Pentagon the morning of the attacks.  This was the first time a September 11^th ceremony was held at the facility.
