A 37-year-old Ebensburg man is facing charges today after he allegedly broke into a control point shed that belonged to Norfolk Southern, and stole and damaged wiring worth $8,000. Police say Brandon Allen broke into the shed July of last year in Gallitzen Township. As a result of the damage, numerous train delays occurred as the mainline was not in operation for nearly four hours. Allen was caught, after selling copper wire that police identified as the same that was missing from the shed. Also, blood found at the shed proved to be that of Allen’s. He is currently in the Cambria County Prison with bail having been set at $50,000. Allen is facing felony charges of burglary and numerous other related counts. His preliminary hearing has been scheduled for September 24th.
