A 20-year-old Altoona man is behind bars following an investigation into allegations he had an inappropriate relationship with a 12-year-old girl. Police say Robert Macak Jr., began the relationship last year, admitting to cuddling, kissing and holding hands. The girl denied any sexual contact. Authorities also say they found numerous nude photos of the girl on Macak’s phone. He has been charged with numerous felonies for unlawful contact with a minor and child pornography. Police say the girl’s mother is also facing charges for her role in the “alleged” grooming of the victim. Macak is currently in the Blair County Prison. Bail has been set at $100,000.
